Chapter 1 Summary of "The Wooing of Beppo Tate"

Chapter One of the book, "The Wooing of Beppo Tate" intoduces the reader to Beppo who has just been adopted by Mr. Tate. He describes the difference in his life by comparing the rich food he is eating as opposed to having very little before. Besides lots of food he has a room for himself as well as new clothes so he is very pleased with his new life.

One of Mr. Tate's friend, Teppy drops by for Sunday breakfast and Beppo realises that he is very greedy. The three of them discuss Mr. Tate's 'enemy', Mrs. Belmont or Mrs. Beltshazzar as Teppy calls her, and he is warned to beware of her. The chapter ends with Beppo and Mr. Tate planning to go to church in Mr. Tate's buggy.

Twilight

Have you read the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer? There are 4 books and in the series and off course I have read them all. The books are about Bella who moves to live with her father and makes friends with the Edward Cullen, a vampire and Jacob Black, a werewolf. Bella has many adventures as she tries to decide whether she prefers Jacob or Edward, as her boyfriend.

All of my friends like Edward, but I prefer Jacob. He is my absolute, favourite character, both in the books and in the movies. Taylor Lautner plays Jacob in the movies. I wish Bella had chosen Jacob instead.

Who do you prefer?

Harry Potter

Have you ever been interested in magic? Well, if you are or if you want to get aquainted with it, try reading Harry Potter. It is a magic filled world with a young wizard and his 2 best friends fighting evil. It is a seven book sequel which, I have read 4 times each. It is action packed and addictive. If you read it once, you'll never want to stop reading it again. My favourite book is the first one, Harry Potter and the Philopher's Stone.

The series is so addictive that my Mom usually bans me from reading it during schooltime. She says it takes away from my school time. My friends wonder what is wrong with me, that I prefer to read Harry Potter during my spare time than goof around with them. They don't know what they are missing!!!.

Christopher Paolini

Do you like dragons? Well, I have never really had a liking for dragons until I read Eragon by Christopher Paolini. Can you believe he wrote that book when he was only fifteen years old? The book is 503 pages long. WOW!!!!!! I don't think I will ever be able to write such a long book. His tale about a farm boy, Eragon, and his dragon, Saphira, was simply magical. Eragon was a 2003 bestseller and Christopher continued the series with two other books Eldest and Brisingr. The fourth and final book in the series it yet to be released. I can't wait. I've seen the movie, Eragon, but it's nothing compared to the book.

If you've read Eragon already, let me know what you think of it but if you haven't, I encourage you to read it. You can't go wrong!!
